Lily of the Valley Orphanage – Tijuana, Mexico Mission Trip

March 18 – 25, 2010

On March 18th, Edgar, Cora Adam, Allyson, we drove to Southern Calif. destination to Tijuana, Mexico to minister to the children in the Orphanage. We brought items to the Lily of the Valley Orphanage for 85 children. We would like to thank you for all of your financial and prayer support as we obeyed God’s calling. We could have not done it without your prayers, donations, and financial support.

Mission Highlights

• Stayed in Los Angeles for one night and head on down to Tijuana, Mexico.
• The following day, we experienced a minor set-back the Mexico Border Patrol did not let us enter Mexico due to the items we were bringing in. We were sent back to the U.S. border so we had to stay overnight in San Diego. The enemy could not stop us from entering Mexico. We had a mission and ‘God is with us!’ God sent two families to help us bring in the items. Both families live in San Diego who also ministers to the Lily of the Valley Orphanage on a weekend basis.
• During our stay in the Orphanage, we helped serve/prepare meals for the children and played with them during their free time.
• We had Arts and Crafts in the afternoon. The children had fun making bracelet, necklace, and coloring books.
• Brought DVDs & DVD player, one afternoon we showed Lilo and Stitch movie and served an ice cream (lots of ice cream!). Adam and Allyson also watched movie with some of the kids at night before bedtime in the dorm where we stayed.
• We had an opportunity to worship with a local church where the Lily of the Valley Orphanage Directors ministers to on a weekly basis. We prayed for/laid hands on the sick and to the people who needs deliverance.
• The Orphanage new building (4 floors) is still in progress, slowly but surely. They are now occupying the second floor as their classrooms.
We are praying, God willing to go back this summer. Please continue to pray for us in obeying God’s will.
